Kari Jones is an experienced executive leader driven by a sense of responsibility to do work with meaning and purpose that inspires and motivates others to achieve their potential.
Kari is currently the Chief Data Officer at Health New Zealand, where is leading a major people and capability focused transformation program to unite the data team under a national structure alongside the challenge of unifying New Zealand’s health data in the National Data Platform.
Kari was previously General Manager for Analytics and Insights at Woolworths Group, where she led the WWNZ Advanced Analytics and Data Platform function, with a strong focus on customer and operational value. In her group role, Kari was instrumental in fostering a data-centric culture, contributing significantly to the Woolworths Data Academy. Jones is also an active member of the International Institute of Analytics (IIA) Research and Advisory Expert Network and serves on a number of boards.
