Tom is an internationally recognised, award-winning technology law specialist, with over 23 years’ experience in both New Zealand and the UK. He leads the TMT practice for MinterEllisonRuddWatts and advises on mission critical technology transformation programs as well as emerging technology areas such as artificial intelligence. His clients include listed and private companies, universities, banks, DHBs, public sector entities, government agencies, and start-ups. Tom co-leads MinterEllisonRuddWatts’ Tech Innovation team, which is responsible for the development and implementation of technology solutions for internal use and commercialisation. He was part of the team that started and successfully exited McCarthy Finch, a start-up that was co-founded by MinterEllisonRuddWatts and Goat Ventures.
