A technology leader, I have 25 years of experience delivering business outcomes for global organisations across the finance industry in London, Europe, New York and Auckland, fostering transformation and innovation in a digital age and improving customer outcomes.
I have worked across key areas of financial markets banking including inter-dealer broking, retail, business and wholesale and I bring a human accountability – bringing a consciousness and ethics into tech and the people enabling it. I’m also focused on increasing our Māori engagement and input into the corporate and wider technology industry. Combining our Māori and Pacific heritage with advancements in technology, AI and the support of ANZ gives us the opportunity to improve the entire ecosystem for the long term well-being of all.
Currently as Head of Pacific Technology, I’m leading more than 100 people across 10 countries to support communities to build a better future, accessing their life through better digital tools, giving them their time back and helping develop digital literacy. With me, it’s people first and I focus on building teams of leaders, the right culture and creating opportunities for the individual to move on to their next opportunity.
Prior, as Head of Technology, Retail and Business Banking, I was responsible for strategy including shaping and executing key transformation programs that impacted the bank.
As an inclusion advocate, I support organisations to promote diversity in technology, as a committee member, volunteer and speaker at leading industry events. As chair of the AI Forum NZ, we are working to promote, connect and strengthen the adoption of AI in NZ including a focus on diversity, inclusion, safe and ethical AI.
I’m a life long learner, starting with a law and Māori degree, an MBA, technology and financial certifications and enjoy sharing future trends and coaching others.
When my home Maketū calls, it’s time to connect with my people and remind myself of what’s important.
