Dr. Ren Wu is the Founder and CEO of NovuMind, where he is leading the effort to push the frontier of artificial intelligence and enable the Intelligent Internet of Things.
Previously, Dr. Wu was a Distinguished Scientist at Baidu. Before that, he served as Chief Software Architect of Heterogeneous System Architecture at AMD. Earlier, he was a Senior Scientist at HP Labs in the USA and the Principal Researcher at HP Lab’s CUDA Research Center. Dr. Wu is known as a pioneer in the use of GPUs to accelerate big data analytics and for his contributions to large-scale heterogeneous computer design. Dr. Wu is also known for his early work on artificial intelligence. His Xiangqi (Chinese chess) program was twice world champion and dominated the computer Xiangqi field for more than a decade. Dr. Wu received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Queen Mary University of London.
Outside of work, Dr. Wu is an avid photographer and loves the outdoors.
