Geri Harris

Geri is an accomplished educator and researcher of information systems, professional practice and research methods, who seeks socially responsible technology solutions to real-world problems.  

Geri’s career in tertiary teaching and business process consulting has been all about collaboration and knowledge sharing across multiple disciplines. She is a technology futurist who brings complex tech concepts into collegial and enlightening discussions. 

With a deep understanding of the social and ethical aspects of technology innovation, Geri is actively exploring the exciting possibilities of AI to reshape education in New Zealand for the better. Her perspective is that generative tools absolutely have a role in teaching and learning; education policy and student learning outcomes, however, must shift to demonstrating critical thinking and creativity.
